Same-Day Crowns.

CEREC technology designs, mills, and places your custom porcelain crown in a single visit. No temporaries, no second appointment, no follow-up adjustments.

Confident smile after a same-day crown
What it is

One visit. One crown. No compromises.

A dental crown caps a damaged or weakened tooth, restoring its strength, shape, and appearance. Traditional crowns require two visits separated by weeks, a temporary crown in between, and a third visit for adjustment.

CEREC technology compresses that into one visit. A digital scan of your tooth feeds a chairside milling machine that crafts the crown from a single block of porcelain while you wait. Dr. Gore then bonds it permanently the same afternoon.

The crown is custom-color-matched to your surrounding teeth and shaped to your bite. Most patients walk out two to three hours after they walked in, with a permanent restoration.

How CEREC works

Four steps. One appointment.

01 / Scan

A 3D digital impression.

A small camera captures your tooth in 3D. No goopy putty trays, no gag-inducing impressions.

02 / Design

Chairside crown design.

Dr. Gore designs the crown on screen, matching your bite and the shape of your surrounding teeth.

03 / Mill

Milled from porcelain.

A chairside milling machine carves the crown from a single porcelain block in about 15 minutes.

04 / Place

Bonded permanently.

The finished crown is glazed, polished, and bonded to your tooth in the same visit. You leave restored.

Honest answers

What patients ask before they book.

CEREC milling machine
Is a same-day crown as durable as a traditional one?
Yes. CEREC crowns are milled from the same high-grade porcelain blocks used in laboratory-fabricated crowns. The bonding process is identical. Clinical studies show 10-year survival rates comparable to or better than traditional crowns.
How long does the appointment actually take?
Two to three hours, depending on the complexity of the tooth. The scan and design take about 30 minutes, the milling about 15 minutes, and the placement another 45 to 60 minutes including bonding and polishing.
Will insurance cover it?
Most major insurance plans cover same-day crowns at the same rate as traditional crowns. The membership plan also includes a 20% discount on crowns for non-insured patients. We give you a written estimate before any work begins.
What if the bite isn't right after placement?
Dr. Gore checks the bite on the day of placement and adjusts before you leave. In the rare case of a follow-up adjustment, it's a 10-minute visit at no charge.
